We have always been involved in Artist-Run-Initiatives or Artist-Run-Spaces. Particularly in Brisbane in the 1980s but then in Sydney and in our regional area of Dungog – including a community-run cinema. We were part of those spaces as either co-creators, artist contributors or audience and we house several of the archives for them.
In 2016 artist Peter Anderson curated a large exhibition ‘Ephemeral Traces’ at the University of Qld Art Museum celebrating 5 notable artist run spaces in Brisbane in the 1980s.
