‘Botanical Fictions’ are abstracted sculptural responses to lifeforms in the forest ecosystem in which I live. These plant forms are created from natural and manufactured materials – hand-made felt and resources discarded from rural living. In this case discarded from on-farm fencing – heavy guauge wire and timber flitches. Some of these works reference fungi fruiting bodies. Others are stems and flower heads springing from the forest floor or paddock.
